This August, 5% Goes Back to the Classroom

Technology is part of how students learn, create, and connect. This back-to-school season, we're committed to giving teachers and their classrooms the support they need to help students thrive.

During the entire month of August, 5% of every Red Light Converter purchase will go toward supporting teachers and their classrooms with a direct focus on technology and back-to-school essentials.

Why we're doing this

Classrooms look different than they used to. The reading homework that used to live in a folder can often be found on a laptop or tablet. So does the math worksheet, the spelling test, the book report. A screen is as much a part of school today as a pencil was a generation ago.

Teachers have been at the center of that shift. They build lesson plans around apps instead of textbooks, teach a classroom full of screens, and stay connected to students and parents well past the last bell. They've learned this new version of the classroom right alongside their students, and they keep finding ways to make it work well. This is our way of supporting that.

Rather than backing just one classroom, we're spreading support across local classrooms, DonorsChoose, and schools in Africa through our Relief Haven Foundation. Every Red Light Converter you buy this month helps fund it. At the end of August, we'll share the final total and what it made possible.

What's next

Red Light Converter reduces the blue light a screen puts out, which matters for anyone spending real hours in front of one. Especially for teachers building tomorrow’s lesson and a student pushing through their homework.

Your switch to smarter screen time can make a difference in a teacher's classroom. If it's time for a new screen protector, now’s the time to grab one.
