Alex Hackel Paradigm Pro® Case + Retractable Lanyard For iPhone 15 Pro

I have been using bodygaurdz phone cases for many years on multiple phones They have always provided good protection We had a Mous clear case on an iPhone Xr which allowed for back glass to shatter from a 20” fall off a park bench , but all our phones with the clear cases from bodygaurdz never had any issues

Why the back story? I expect continued protection from these more reasonably priced cases so I decided to get this case of the add ons. I no longer have to add my magnetic holder / stand to the back of my case, since it already has a kickstand. This leaves room for my mag wallet. The buttons seem to work for all functions as well as when the phone is out of the case. I have not noticed the phone heating up - I guess the vents work as designed I am not sure about the sound difference with the speaker redirections ( the 17 pro seems much quieter than my old 14 pro)

What I don’t love : not many color choices - just got basic black; wish the sides were a little more textured ( it is not slippery, but does not feel as secure as previous ACE Pro models ). The kickstand protrudes out a little so my mag wallet bumps into it. It is much thicker that my previous case , likely due to the ventilated back

Overall , the screen protector and case together seem like a good deal for the features

I’m a longtime customer and can say the products are worth it… but this case didn’t meet my expectations. The color is fine, but the images online made it difficult to tell that the case is two different shades of orange (maybe that’s my eyesight and not the images lol). The raised area surrounding the camera is a bit underwhelming. It’s almost like the sharp edge of a corner, which is not a great feel. The kickstand is also not comfortable (e.g., it got caught on my pocket hems when pulling out & when diving into my bag to grab it, got underneath my fingernail). Finally, and most surprising, was that I dropped the phone from 2 ft, and it landed on the corner and then back. When I picked it up, the screen protector had cracked. That’s something that’s never happened with any of my dozen or so bodyguardz cases. I’ll be trading this in for the Pulse case hoping it’s more like my old paradigm case. Hoping this feedback helps.
