Portable 6600mAh High-Capacity Power Bank
A high-capacity power bank is a must-have for your home, travel planning, work commute, and emergency preparedness. You want a power source that will last, but there’s no standard for what makes a power bank high-capacity. A handheld, travel-sized power bank rarely carries more than 10,000mAh charge. A portable power station may provide enough power to operate many of your basic home appliances for a few days, but these types of batteries may also weigh 25 pounds or more. What makes the high-capacity power bank in BodyGuardz® Portable 5-in-1 Emergency Hub different is that it also has a night light, flashlight, personal alarm siren, and FM radio built directly into the device. You can manage these features with your smartphone via the BodyGuardz Smart Life app. The portable lights can also be controlled through Google Home or Alexa. Looking for more efficient power solutions for your emergency and travel planning? Include our Emergency Hub as part of your packing list. This device alone takes care of a big chunk of your emergency preparedness kit.
Due to voltage differentials, about one-third of the power is lost during the transfer. This is generally true of any power bank. Thus, it’s important to know that while our portable power bank has 6,600mAh storage capacity, it usually delivers about 4,500mAh in usable charge to your mobile devices. For a smartphone battery with lower capacity (less than 2,000mAh), you should be able to recharge your phone at least twice. For a high-capacity smartphone battery (greater than 3,000mAh), you should be able to recharge your smartphone once and still have juice leftover for other basic emergency functions.
Your phone may not last as long as usual if you end up using a power-draining app the entire time while waiting out an emergency situation. For a period of a few hours up to a day, our 5-in-1 will keep your phone charged with enough juice leftover to use the flashlight, night light, emergency radio, and personal alarm. By using the 5-in-1 more sparingly, you can maintain emergency contact capability for several days up to a couple weeks. In fact, the hub can hold its charging capacity for up to 30 days after being unplugged. It also has 4 LED light indicators to show the remaining charge in 25% increments. These features make the 5-in-1 the perfect device for both smart home and travel-based emergency preparedness.
If your emergency plan includes provisions to survive comfortably for several days or even a week, you can invest in a portable power station with an AC outlet. That way, you can plug in and recharge the Emergency Hub itself if needed. One smart strategy is to keep the hub near your sleeping area and the backup power station in your designated shelter area. To make sure all your bases are covered, don’t forget to pack charging cable(s) as part of your emergency travel kit and/or when grabbing your cell phone. If you’re traveling internationally, remember to pack a universal power adapter to keep the power bank plugged in and fully charged.
Worried 6,600mAh isn’t enough but not ready to invest in a full-blown power station? Many people buy multiple Emergency Hubs, but another option is to add a high-capacity power bank that’s waterproof and rated for outdoor use. The Cascade® Wireless Charging Power Bank from Lander® is a great choice and backup solution if you lose track of your phone’s charging cable.
